Good luck Olympians! The Challenge is on and a giveaway.

I am definately not the sporty type. I expend my energy by creating, reading, sewing, walking up the stairs, stretching and giving my all to everyday activities. I wish all the Olympians a fun, fair and challenging games in Vancouver.

I will be watching the Opening Ceremonies tonight with my Honey. For the rest of the next 2 weeks, as much of the games as I can from the studio while I finish my Olympic Challenge (the Canadian Quilt).

To celebrate 30,000 visitors, your Olympic challenge is to visit
this blog, leave a comment and by February 28 I will draw a winning name for my wall hanging giveaway. The wall hanging will be created especially for you.

That is right, you  choose either a traditional quilted wall hanging or an art quilt, and the colours too!

  1. Wow! What a giveaway! If I were lucky enough to be selected, I think I would like either a quilt of the mountain out my front window, or something manly for my youngest son's room (who needs a re-do). Thanks. Let the games begin!

  2. HI Linda,
'What a terrific contest. I will be watching lots of the competitions. I plan to wear my red mittens and also get started on knitting an afghan (haven't worked out the details yet).

please enter me for your contest. Come visit my blog and enter my contest for a pair of Red Canada Olympic Mittens.

  3. Enjoy the olympics! It's nice to have this diversion in the winter.

  4. Wow what a wonderful giveaway! Enjoy your Olympics. I love to watch the ice skating.

  5. We don't have tv, but can sometimes pick up a french station that televises some of the olympics...hope to tune into the figure skating competitions...I wonder if I can watch it online somewhere? At least I would understand what is being said. (I live on the canadian border in northern Maine.) It's french all around here....

  6. Take time to quilt and be with your valentine! Mine is coming home tonight after being gone for 4 weeks! Ok, I'll quilt later.... It's colder here than up at the Olympics! East TN....

  7. I love watching the olympics too and hope to get some handwork done

Hi Linda! Bryan & I have been watching the Olympics every day during our winter vacation and now we will watch it in the evenings when we get home from work. It has been a very exciting and interesting Olympics. Sure makes us want to visit British Columbia and Vancouver!
