Thanks Judi M.
An online quilting group that I belong to lets me host a Solstice Swap. We do it winter and summer. This is a way to share gifts and celebrate the changing of the seasons. It is also so much fun; a bit like a scavenger hunt and a party all rolled into one.
I set up some categories, each participant answers some personal summer trivia and then everyone is matched up. Each player prepares a parcel to be sent off so that we can open them all the same day.
This years questionnaire was:
The QP 2008 Summer Solstice Swap
That time of year is coming soon, and like all good traditions the Summer Solstice Swap is back!!
Sign up: Names will be taken until May 30, your partner’s name will be sent to you by June 1, June 11 is the mail out deadline. You will mail out to a different person than you receive from.
All Solstice parcels are to be opened on Saturday June 21, the day of the summer solstice – We all; no matter where on this earth that we live, share the same sun to look out at.
To take part, all you need to do is send me an email reply to the following questions, pack up a seasonal party bag and mail it off to your assigned partner. I will then match up and forward each person their partner’s answers; you will not know who your partner is until you receive your package. All packages should contain 8 items, keeping the value to $20.00.
